TMZ Sports did an interview with the two icons of professional wrestling who helped to make it the pop culture entity today. The two men who reigned supreme as world heavyweight champions of their respective leagues of WWF and WCW in the 1980's give their list of who they felt should be on the Mount Rushmore of Wrestling.
Also in this interview Ric Flair takes the opportunity to throw out the challenge to former UFC women's champion to face his daughter who is currently a champion in WWE to a fight.

Ric Flair proclaimed Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan at the top of his list because the two men drew the most money in the business. Hulk Hogan was widely popular in the 1980's headlining sell out domes such as The SilverDome which until a couple years ago was allegedly the WM record and one time indoor attendance record of over 93,000 plus screaming fans.
Hulk Hogan was also on Sports Illustrated's cover as til this day has been the only pro wrestler to achieve that status. Hulk Hogan had a falling out with the then WWF in the early 90's and repackaged himself for the 90's with a run in WCW that saw him as a completely different persona from what made him a mainstream hit in the 1980's under the guise of "Hollywood" Hogan. He was vanquished from the WWE Hall Of Fame a while back because of unsavory words used in a private conversation taped at his home.

Steve Austin was a guy who helped to get pro wrestling back into the minds of the masses for the WWE in 1996-1999, while Hulk Hogan was competing against the company with WCW. Austin help to usher in the wildly popular "Attitude Era" of crash television and the anti-hero. The two men never could seem to get their differences aside to have a match which would no doubt would have been one of the most anticipated in history.
Hulk Hogan mentioned Ric Flair as the greatest wrestler to ever live and unlike Hogan vs Austin being a dream match these two men did end up in the ring against each other. Many critics claim the WWF botched the dream match when Ric Flair entered the company in 1991. Amidst the steroid scandal of the time it could have just been simply bad timing as it seems the most anticipated time this match could have reached its full potential is perhaps 1987-1989 when both were at their physical and drawing peaks.
Andre The Giant for all intents and purposes was the precursor to Hogan, Flair, and Austin in terms of being mainstream stars for the business and Hulk Hogan rightfully showing respect made mention of the legend. Hulk Hogan faced Andre The Giant at the aforementioned WM 3 event in 1987 that was the attendance record for decades.
