WorldWide Entertainment TV Season 3 has a new segment entitled "The List" which is hosted by Rolexis Delaney an actress on Queen Sugar a television series executive produced by Oprah Winfrey on Oprah Winfrey's Network. She has returned to WWETV for our WorldWide Entertainment TV Television Series on Nu Television Network!

This week's question includes a HUGE answer as it would decide by fan popular vote who is indeed THE GOAT (Greatest Of All-Time) when it comes to African-American Female Actors / Actresses. The list is very deep as it can start with the first ever talent to hit the airwaves with Josephine Baker.

From those early days of film and the struggles of black actresses (now politically correct term is African American Actor) to the days of Halle Berry winning an Oscar for Monster's Ball. One thing has been quite steady is the influx of talent from across America to the bright lights of Hollywood from African American culture has helped defined pop culture that has lead the world in entertainment.

During The Civil Rights Movement in the 1960's came about the movement of African Americans in film and television. The 1970's saw families such as Foxy Brown which starred the amazingly beautiful Pam Grier.

In the 80's sitcom was considered dead until Bill Cosby woke up the whole industry with "The Cosby Show". Regardless of what has happened in recent years in the media with Bill Cosby none of that should take away from the legacy his show had on the history of television. The leading lady was none other than the stunning Phylicia Rashad who played the intelligent lawyer and caring mother that represented America in the 1980's. She now plays the evil Dianne Dubois on the hit tv series Empire and is the nemesis of another tremendous talent in Taraji P. Henson who portrays the flamboyant Cookie Lyon.

A whole new generation was born out of the 80's which saw the likes of Meagan Good who is currently leading on our Instagram social networks with the most likes out of any of the nominees.

The list is so long that we had to break up these talented women into categories. We have the golden age which hearkens back to the days when women had less say and power in terms of voting and being independent ladies. This does not however diminish the true grit these women showed in overcoming huge odds to reach the pinnacle of the business in times when there was very little opportunity. Women such as Ruby Dee who in the video below is in a shocking scene that even today would raise eyebrows.

1963 film adaptation of Jean Genet's play. Ruby Dee & Peter Brocco.

"The Judge & The Thief" (scene from The Balcony)

Lena Horne was also a multi-talented actress who showed various skills as displayed in this clip below when she aired on The Cosby Show alongside Phylicia Rashad.

Learn more about the history of women from African American descent who forever changed Hollywood with their style, grace, elegance, beauty, and talent. The Season 3 Premiere starts of with a bang with WWETV LA's Lexi.
