The Golden State Warriors got revenge for losing the 2016 NBA title to the Cleveland Cavaliers after taking a 3-1 series lead by winning Game 5 this year to grab the championship. It haunted Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, coach Steve Kerr and the rest of the team from the front office down all year and they made sure not to take any risks with Lebron James and Cleveland Cavs this year. The Warriors pulled out all the stops to win another Larry O'Brien trophy by acquiring Kevin Durrant for the 2016-2017 season. The deal ironically turned out to be a product of being the NBA Finals MVP in 2017.

GOLDEN State Warriors have been crowned the 2017 NBA Champions after smashing Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 5 at Oracle Arena.

The 129-120 victory marks Golden State’s second NBA title in three years, having clinched the series 4-1.
