Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg), Bumblebee, an English lord (Anthony Hopkins) and an Oxford professor (Laura Haddock) to save the world when they unite.

We see some sort of time travel as visuals include a battle with King Arthur from medieval times. Michael Bay has stated that the fifth installment would be his last entry in the franchise (at least in the core series). The series has not avoided its share of critics and some fans also didn't like how some aspects didn't stick with the source material from the legendary 80's cartoon show.
