One of rap's most legendary diss tracks was dropped today June 4th in 1996. Tupac Shakur with his Outlawz rap group released the lethal "Hit 'Em Up" which was directed towards the East Coast, Bad Boy Records, Biggie Smalls, Puffy, and everyone else it seems.
This was during the height of the East Coast vs. West Coast hip hop war. Some believe this led to the deaths of both Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur and that the rap scene has never been the same ever since. Little to the masses know is that Tupac also took a shot at a future King Of New York in Jay Z. It is said that the reason the diss was not left on the final cut was that 2Pac felt Jay Z wasn't big enough at the time.
