Yellow Man Talks Being 1st King of Dancehall, Barrington Levy, Dexta Dapps

This week's episode of Onstage TV included Yellow Man who is credited as the 1st King of Dancehall. Winford speaks with the legend as he discusses his opinion on mainstream artists such as Drake and Rihanna using dancehall for hits. He is also asked if he feels he gets his due respect for helping to start the genre.

Barrington Levy also joins the table with Winford to speak on his new acoustic project. He lets us know that he is not concerned with winning grammy awards or other industry accolades just as long as his listeners enjoy his music.

Dexta Dapps finishes the episode with an interview. He discusses how he wants to create a strong catalog of music instead of just being a hot artist for a short time. He believes his diversity of skills from deejaying to singing allows him to be different than any other artists. His album drops March 27 and he explains the idea behind it.
