Desiigner Avoids Gun Charge & Gets Released

MANHATTAN, NY – Sidney Royel Selby better known by his rapper persona Desiigner is a free man after being released from jail (September 10), the New York Daily News reports.

He is facing misdemeanor drug possession and menacing charges after he and four other people were arrested Thursday after a road rage incident. A felony gun possession charge was dropped.

“There’s nothing here. There’s nothing recovered,” Adam Konta, Desiigner’s lawyer, said during the court hearing. “There really is nothing here.”

"It's time to embrace the true narrative of a young black man enjoying his success and working hard for a prosperous career" were also words said by his legal team.
