WWETV Exclusive: Cash Money Records Artist J-Soul Announces New Album

(WWETV YOUTUBE SPACE TORONTO) This week officially kicks of a new era in Toronto hip hop as WWETV's Youtube Space Toronto representative Kevin Douglas presents Cash Money Records J Soul live from the annual Urban Arts "Culture Shock" event that happened August 13th on Weston Road in Toronto. The recently signed Cash Money Records artist first started out with Urban Arts. “One day, I was looking for a job at Weston [C.I.]. They said, “Hey, Urban Arts is hiring!” When I went there, there was this lady named Ify who is like my best friend now. I asked her if they were hiring and she said no, but yet she still interviewed me. After, she showed me around to the recording studio and told me to come back. In my mind I was like, ‘I’m not coming back, I didn’t get the job!’ But one day, something came over me and made me turn into the building.” Before becoming a member of Birdman's "Rich Gang", J Soul learned his skills with Urban Arts which provides resources to youth to educate themselves on their craft. “[Urban Arts gives me] support and equipment. I’m able to shoot with their cameras and stay late to edit and record videos. They offer me a lot. I mean, I can go out and shoot and record at other studios now but Urban Arts is my home. It’s really home here.” During this year's "Culture Shock", J Soul made an announcement that he will be dropping his album which has been six years in the making. The artist being an inspiration to others at Urban Arts let others know that they should keep dreaming and that they can do whatever it is they want in life.
