Roland “Troy Ave” Collins arrived at Manhattan Criminal Court yesterday (May 30) in a wheelchair after being shot in the leg during an altercation at the club. The Brooklyn rapper was arraigned on charges connected to the deadly shooting at Irving Plaza on May 25.

Troy is facing attempted murder as well as criminal possession of a weapon. Authorities are said to be still determining if he will be charged with the murder of his friend Ronald “Banga” McPhatter.

Judge Ushir Pandit-Durant denied a $50,000 bail request and ordered Collins be held without bail until trial. Troy’s attorney Scott Leemon suggested that his client is the victim in this situation.

“He didn’t shoot himself, he didn’t shoot his lifelong friend and bodyguard, Ronald McPhatter,” Leemon told AllHipHop.com. “Ronald died a hero and should be remembered that way. The snippet of the video released by NYPD doesn’t tell the whole story.”
