A Killer Ending to Empire Season 2 Finale

“Empire” saw a Lyon fall as they had been hyping, but it wasn't Jamal as he recuperated from getting shot by Freda. It now has come apparent the hype of a Lyon dying was in the hands of either Anika (Grace Gealy) or Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday). The finale came to a screaming end when one of these women shouted out as if it was their last breath. The two got into a cat fight which appears to have seen one of them throw the other over a balcony.

So either Anika died on her wedding day as it turned out to be the marriage of her and Lucious in an attempt to prevent her from testifying against him. This all happened after Hakeem was left at the altar by Laura who decided she wanted no parts of this crazy family after an altercation with a street thug (played by rapper Xzhibit) in the reception area.

The impromptu wedding occurred due to the fact that Anika and Lucious already obtained a marriage license from the time they were engaged. During this episode, Lucious also let Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) know that he never married before because of her, but another brick was thrown at her with this twist of fate. She obviously did not approve of this rushed marriage.

As for the feds going after the Lyons, Tariq is leading the investigation. And turns out, he is Lucious’ half-brother.

We don’t know who died, but Rhonda is either dead or just murdered someone. How will that affect Andre? Andre just witnessed someone plunging to her death and whoever it was is obviously going to determine how Andre goes forward with his life.
