BET Web-Series ‘#20YrsLtr’ Ft. Nas, AZ, Rakim, Raekwon, & More

BET.com and the BET Now app are going to have a web based series that will highlight classic albums, TV shows, books, and films from twenty years ago. #20YrsLtr debuts today (May 17) with a feature on AZ’s 1995 debut album Doe or Die.
AZ will join the likes of Nas, Pete Rock, Raekwon, Foxy Brown, Wendy Williams, DJ Premier, Buckwild, Daniel Glass, and family members as they reflect on the LP. The series is separated into five segments over four days. Hip Hop legend Rakim serves as narrator.
“We learned a lot from the forefathers that we loved. We laid our own rules and raised the bar to keep the legacy and the culture of hip-hop going,” AZ told Billboard. “We were just speaking about the life we were living; speaking our minds with no boundaries. It was beautiful … emotion put to music.”
