Mobb Deep are legendary in the genre of hip hop for its hardcore gangsta rap music. They hail from Queensbridge, Queens, New York, United States.

Havoc and Prodigy make up the duo and are most famously known for their classic album The Infamous Mobb Deep. The duo is "one of the most critically acclaimed hardcore East Coast Hip-Hop groups ever.

"Shook Ones (Part II) helped propel them to having sold over three million records.

Two of their albums have been critical successes; The Infamous (1995) and Hell on Earth (1996).

In June 2005, Prodigy and Havoc signed with 50 Cent's label G-Unit Records. 50 Cent also grew up in Queens where Mobb Deep are from. Havoc also doubles as a critically acclaimed and successful producer who provided production on projects by G-Unit, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo.
