Views From The 6 had a lot of Toronto hip hop fans in excitement that one of the biggest artists in the world was going to have a concept album that would tribute Toronto. Some people got upset over the album name change to just VIEWS. However, Drake did deliver on West Road Flows when he made mention of Toronto rapper Jelleestone and Toronto promoter Big Apple aka Hozea Massiah.
Jelleestone made waves in Toronto when he dropped the music video "Hood Is Here", but in Weston Road Flows Drake makes reference to another song by the Rexdale artist entitled "Money". He later collaborated on tracks with Nelly Furtado and Esthero. His album Thirteen was nominated for a Juno Rap award.
Drake also made mention of Big Apple who use to be a Toronto promoter Big Apple who is now known as Hozea Massiah. Apple owned one of the more popular urban wear stores in the country during the early part of the millennium and late 90's. He was known as well for being the manager of The Smugglaz rap group.
He currently is the owner of the popular D.R.U.G.S. clothing line. You can purchase some of the wear right here on WWETV Website Shop.
