Will Smith Shade at Oscars By Angela Bassett & Chris Rock

Chris Rock opened up the Oscars with monologue that included various aspects of the controversy surrounding this year's event. It began speaking about Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith's boycotting of tonight's ceremony. "Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna's panties. I wasn't invited!" he said.

The shade the couple received did not stop there. In a funny skit of "Black History Month Moment" starring Angela Bassett, the beautiful actress began paying homage to an actor she described as "The Fresh Prince," as cover photos of "Wild Wild West" and "SharkTale" displayed, only for the honor to go to...Jack Black.
