Friday Flashback: Marlon Brando Snubs Oscar Award

The entertainment world is in a buzz over the fact there is a lack of diversity in the annual Oscar Awards which is the elite award show for actors and actresses in the film making industry. Big money makers for the movie world such as Will Smith along with his wife have boycotted this year's event.

Before this year's activism in 1973 there was also an act of boycott at the event by the legendary Marlon Brando. Sacheen Littlefeather refusing to accept the Best Actor Oscar® on behalf of Marlon Brando for his performance in "The Godfather" - the 45th Annual Academy Awards® in 1973. Liv Ullmann and Roger Moore presented the award.
