New Edition Biopic In The Works by BET

(WWETV) This week the legendary hip hop group comes to the big screen as the NWA gets their story told through a biopic led by Dr. Dre and Ice Cube. Next year another iconic hip hop figure in Tupac Shakur is allegedly dropping in theaters. Biopics first got its resurgence on television though with TLC and now antoher 90's R & B group is heading in the same direction with BET heading the production. Bivens from New Edition announced that his group will have a biopic as well through his instagram.

Members Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe, Johnny Gill, and Ralph Tresvant will co-produce the untitled miniseries along with the band’s longtime manager Brooke Payne; founding member Bobby Brown was not named as a producer in the press release.
