On SI Now, WWE U.S. champion John Cena discusses the impact Stone Cold Steve Austin had on wrestling during the "Attitude Era." Maybe the head of the WWE himself Vince Mcmahon wants the match to happen as well which would help sell out next year's WrestleMania which is planned to break the old WM III record that had the main event of Hulk Hogan vs. Andre The Giant that saw 93,000 plus fans attending the event.
There has been quite a few matches that have legimately been once in a lifetime (not Rock vs. Cena as the WWE couldn't help themselves by doing a rematch *both matches drew huge crowds and record gates) that truly capture generations of fans. Cena vs. Austin is possibly that match. The only problem is Austin's health as the Texas Rattlesnake had to retire early due to a recurring neck problem after he recieved a piledriver in 1997 that broke his neck.
John Cena has been the only real superstar created post Attitude Era with the exception of Brock Lesnar who was also in a rumor of facing Steve Austin for WM 32 in Texas next year. Will Austin be goaded back for the big bucks and chance to make WM history? Time will tell!
