Ron Newt, a man who has close ties to the Jackson family, has filed a lawsuit against Terrence Howard, Lee Daniels, 'Empire,' and others accusing the hit show of stealing his life story, reports TMZ. Newt claims he met the show's star Terrence Howard at the Four Seasons Hotel some time ago and they discussed his documentary Bigger Than Big, about his life as a "ghetto player."

According to TMZ, Newt points to a number of similarities between his documentary and Empire, including dead drug dealers and a Cookie Lyon-like character named China Doll. Newt, who claims to have been friends with Michael Jackson and that he once had a record deal with Death Row, wants a billion dollars from Lee Daniels, Howard and Fox. P. Diddy also claimed the show was based off his life from street hustler to his empire of Bad Boy Records.
