(WWETV) There are two reports about the Vybz Kartel case which may turn out to be vital for the future of the incarcerated dancehall artist. According to a report by Young Voices

ACCUSED: Livingston Cain, a 50-year-old football coach, was the only person on the 11-member panel to return a not guilty verdict

"There are some concerns that I have to take into consideration," Ellis said, while making it clear that her intention was not to interfere with the freedom of the press.

"This court is hereby ordering that there should be no publication of the identity of the remaining witnesses. Identity meaning name, address and place of employment - anything that will allow people to identify them," the magistrate explained.

The witness recalled an encounter with Cain along King Street, in downtown Kingston, just weeks into the trial.

"We happened to meet up while we were going up the road (King Street), and began speaking about what (had) happened inside," he testified.

"Mr Cain indicated to me that we can't find these guys guilty because they are persons in the entertainment industry and they have families," he recalled.

The witness said he indicated to Cain that he, too, had not seen anything from prosecutors to find Kartel and his co-accused guilty.

Cain faces three years in jail if it is proven he attempted to bribe a fellow juror.

The trial has been adjourned until April 28.

Another report from iammedia101 reports Vybz Kartel has won his appeal case. According to Urban Islandz other jurors are being considered to be tampered with. Dennis Brown, admitted in court yesterday that he works with the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF). While, another juror, identified only as Miss McCleod, was the wife of a police inspector that was working at the court.

This is particularly interesting because under Jamaica’s Jury Act, officers, commissioned or non-commissioned, and regular reserve members of the Jamaica Defence Force are barred from serving as jurors.

In other news concerning Vybz Kartel there is a rumor he will be on a song with Mavado. Gully Gad told Urban Islandz that the remix is a done deal but couldn’t tell us when the final cut will be released.

“We get Vybz Kartel verse already and everything is coming together so Gully Gaza fans can look out for something big,” our source told us.

This will be the first time in a decade since Mavado and Vybz Kartel is featured on the same track.
