New Rihanna Documentary Is Coming Soon

Rihanna will not only be releasing a new album, but also a documentary about her career in the works, according to Deadline.

Director Peter Berg has just launched his own production company, Film 45, and the Rihanna documentary will be one of the first projects released. The production, which Berg will direct, will be modeled after Don’t Look Back, the documentary that gave fans a look into Bob Dylan’s life.

Berg says the rock doc will give viewers an “unfiltered look into Rihanna’s life and how she’s ascended to become a global icon.” He also said that the feature will be “much more a character study than a music film.”

Berg also gave RiRi her first role in the big screen in the 2012 film Battleship.

There is no release date for the documentary.
