PROTECT & SERVE - Cops on Camera (SKIT)

PROTECT AND SERVE is a short satirical sketch aimed at widening the discussion on effective policing, through the lens of a 90-day body camera trial. How much do the body cameras capture? Who do they protect? And what other steps are necessary to keep our communities safe? Just as we've recently seen a new wave of activism online and in our streets, this 4-minute video raises the issues in a way that hasn't been done before, with a tone that's biting at times and is ultimately aimed at solutions. [#WECAN] In light of the President's recent Task Force on 21st Century Policing and developments in the cases of Tamir Rice, Trayvon Martin and others, this project calls out implicit bias and takes police to task, but also calls on the community to take action.
