Facts About Factor

I was given a call late last night about a blog post that was seen by one of our team members that was posted on a facebook news feed. It was about what we have here in Canada called Factor. For our American visitors to the site this will sound very foreign to you, but it's an organization which helps artists in Canada put out their products.
This may seem like a dream come true for those of you in the United States or around the world, but the music industry in Canada for urban music has a very fractured infrastructure to say the least. It is no accident that our biggest artists had to leave the country to actually get to higher levels in the field of their choice.
The Canadian music industry knows this and is a reason why the organization was built to begin with, but with any corporation there is always space for corruption to seep through. FACTOR has been accused of this over the years by having a system that only benefitted a very small group of artists. I'm not here to go into that today as the article was shown pretty much did a fantastic job own its own.
