Bull, a player for the Harlem Globetrotters, nearly got his head chopped off while dunking during an exhibition game. His teammate tossed him an alley-oop off the backboard, which he slammed down into the rim with a two-handed dunk. However, no one anticipated what happened next.
The backboard was unexpectedly unstable, and his dunk brought it down hard. If he didn't react quickly and move his head out of the way, he might've lost it entirely. Even though he dodged the death-blow, he still got hit hard above his left eyebrow as the rim and backboard crashed down on him, which caused a nasty gash to open up.
