The Original Toronto Video Vixen Melyssa Ford
The artform of music videos have always used eye candy to help visualize the story of a song. Michael Jackson is known as the innovator who took the genre to another level and even though perhaps the biggest music video ever Thriller had the backdrop of a horror movie it was about a female that Michael stated he would give a thriller.
In the 1990's hip hop took things to another level with crazy video images of women, but one stood above the rest. Toronto's own Melyssa Ford was and is an original blueprint who made it her duty to represent the genre with respect and integrity for the women who would follow her in the future.

Her wikipedia states: Melyssa Savannah Ford (born November 7, 1976) is a Canadian model and actress.[3] She attended York University and studied in the field of forensic psychology.[4] Ford's father is Afro-Barbadian and her mother is Russian and Norwegian. She is often referred to as Jessica Rabbit, after the character from the animated film Who Framed Roger Rabbit whose voluptuous figure Ford's is said to resemble.[1][5]:3

Melyssa Ford has spoken ill of the hip hop music video scene, but has also spoken about it being an outlet for women to springboard their careers as well. Whatever the case, the woman has indeed been apart of some of the greatest rap videos ever produced with some of the most revered artists of our time.
