So my first assignment is to create a top 25 Video list of all-time for the hip hop in the US. Okay nice hatchet job lol, but I'm up for the challenge.
#25 The Fugees - Ready Or Not
Are you ready or not for my list? Well, The Fugees take spot #25. One of the biggest groups of all-time in the history of hip hop. This was their peak and they never hit this level again imo.

#24 The Roots -What They Do
This video explains exactly how the video game became in the era where spending millions and millions were spent on the artform. It was expected at the time, but this is where the money went.

#23 Ghostface - All I Got You Is You In an era where everyone wanted to be a gangster, Ghostface took back old school with feel good music for the ghettos of America.

#22 Method Man ft. Mary J Blige Now The Wu Tang Clan is one of the greatest if not the greatest rap group ever, however they were helluva talented as solo artists too. This was the rap version of Marvin Gaye and Tammy Terrell's "All I Need to Get By". Classic!

#21 Dogg Pound - New York New York There is a saying down here in America. New York has not been the same since Snoop kicked down the buildings. In the height of the East/West Coast beef this was very ballsy. Great video!

#20. Dr Dre ft. Snoop Dog -Nuthin But A G Thang If Boyz in the Hood was a perfect motion picture for LA's streets than this would be the perfect soundtrack commercial.

#19 Game ft. 50 Cent Too bad this is the last time we saw these two do a collaboration. Put it this way, I believe this was the closest thing we had to getting a picture of Biggie and Tupac representing their coasts on a track together if it ever happened. The green screen technique was used expertly here.

#18. Nelly - Tip Drill
There are many outstanding videos of this nature such as Tupac's How Do You Want It with adult entertainers in it or Ludacris' Booty Poppin, but this right here is KING.

#17 NWA - Straight Outta Compton The video that probably changed hip hop forever. Some may say that it wasn't a good change, but it changed nonetheless.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MrQtOoQRpc
#16 Biggie Smalls -Juicy The song and video are why many proclaim this man as the GOAT. You just feel the emotion and see the picture beyond the visuals.

#15. 50 Cent -Many Men This song and video pretty much sum the motive for 50's rise in the rap game. Story story telling and vivid imagery of the infamous incident that changed his life.

14. Tupac Shakur - Dear Mama
This is not just one of the greatest hip hop videos ever, but any music video. The song for many is the Mother's Day anthem. What brings the emotions to another level in this is that Tupac was in jail when this was released and couldn't physically be there to portray the video. It was like the video was a visual letter from jail to his mother. Powerful stuff!

13. Public Enemy - Fight The Power
I know this may be the greatest video of all-time in hip hop to many enthusiasts and for good reason. The title of the song and seeing Public Enemy in the streets says it all.

12. Murder Was The Case
The visuals and story in this has many facets to it. Some even call it a display of illuminating levels that describe the inner workings of the music industry to conspiracy theorists. It just added more emotion to the whole case that Snoop was dealing with at the time.

11. Eminem - STAN
This video entails the story of an obsessed fan who is not mentally all there who stalks Eminem. I bet Kanye West watches this as he reaches home after every Paparazzi encounter.

10. Geto Boys - Mind Playing Tricks On Me
Long before the South was known for its bumping club music there was a group who was known for its lyrical story telling. That group was The Geto Boys and this song and video is no doubt a classic.

9. A Tribe Called Quest -Scenario
One of the best super group collaborations in the history of hip hop. The music video at the time was unique and showed hip hop in a different light. Leaders of the New School and A Tribe Called Quest. It's just sad what happened to both these rap groups in the end.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6TLWqn82J4
8. Raekwon -Ice Cream
This may not be as sexually charged as Nelly's Tip Drill, but the lyrical description left a lot to desire in the minds. It was just a great a great every day on the block hanging out looking for girls music video that everyone could relate to.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-2klRHBvxo
7. Biggie -Give Me One More Chance
This video made Biggie Smalls the "King of New York" for many with all the guest appearances in it at the time. Just imagine though you had the likes of Raekwon, Nas, and Jay Z all spitting fire at the time too(Nas and Raekwon-Wu Tang Clan all could have legitimate claim too) which just goes to show how hot the scene was during this time frame in hip hop history in America.

6. 99 Problems - Jay Z
From Biggie Smalls to what some consider the current "King of New York" Jay Z. 99 Problems is an artistic piece that hit all the right spots. Jay Z's best music that kept it hip hop with a twist of Rock like Run DMC's classic in the 80's.
5. Ice Cube - Today Was A Good Day
Talk about a song and video that totally details the life of a hip hop fan from anywhere in North America this is it. Ice Cube described LA lifestyle to a great visual with lyrics, but really this could have been anywhere from both coasts. A classic hood tale.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViK8PwbJmxo
4. Nas - One Mic
Leave it to Nasir Jones to allow the mic to be the center of a music video with such thrilling visuals and delivery. A powerful music video that shows how the tool of a mic can be used to deliver strong messages.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCOURZ-yx4E
3. Tupac Shakur ft. The Outlaws - Hail Mary
The Elvis Presley of Hip Hop re-appears as a ghost coming back for revenge. This is a chilling music video that fits right into his persona while he was alive. Great concept.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1OR1Plc5Qv8
2. Wu-Tang Clan - Triumph
When Wu-Tang came onto the rap scene they truly did takeover and this music video beautifully displays this adage. It was and is truly WU-FOREVER with this classic.
1. Bone, Thugs, and Harmony -Crossroads
The greatest hip hop music video ever in tribute to Easy E. People of all ages and different cultures can relate to this video and the actual production executed the concept of the video right on point.
